How do I book and pay?
Pick your service on the Services page and pay securely online — prices already include the 3% card processing fee. After payment you're taken to our calendar to choose your appointment time. "Starting at," per-item, and custom jobs show Request a Quote so we confirm the price first.
What if my service runs longer than the booked time window?
Each service is priced for a defined time window based on the specific job. If a job runs past that window because of added items, unusual complexity, or scope changes, additional time is billed at our standard hourly overage rate, in 15-minute increments. We always give you a heads-up before your booked window closes, so you can choose to stop or continue. Exact rates and the acknowledgement are shown right before you book.
What if my item is variable or not listed?
Use Get a Quote — paste a link or photo and we'll price it fast, usually the same day. Then we send you a secure checkout for that exact job.
Who is Furniture Assembly by Lee?
Furniture Assembly by Lee is a registered, insured, locally owned company with trained assembly technicians serving the Tri-Cities and Southwest Virginia. Our team handles everything from a single piece to whole-room and commercial installs — on time, clean, and guaranteed.
Why do IKEA pieces cost a little more?
IKEA and European flat-pack pieces use cam-lock and dowel construction with more parts and more steps than comparable Wayfair, Walmart, Amazon, or Target items. We add 15% to the item being assembled to reflect the extra time and care these builds require.
What is a "2-person" job?
Some items — tall hutches, oversized sectionals, PAX closet systems, Murphy beds, overhead garage racks — are too heavy, tall, or awkward for one technician to assemble safely. Those items are clearly marked "2-person" on the menu and are priced to cover the second set of hands.
Do you remove the boxes and packaging?
Yes — every assembly. Boxes, plastic, foam, and zip-ties are removed and recycled where possible. Old furniture or bulky haul-away beyond packaging is a separate add-on.
Do you anchor furniture to the wall?
Yes. Anti-tip wall anchoring is $25 per item and is strongly recommended for kids’ rooms, dressers, and any tall furniture. Our technicians anchor to studs whenever possible.
Do you mount TVs?
Yes — up to 50", 51"–70", and 75"+ including stone, brick, and over-fireplace installs. Our team uses stud-anchored mounts, levels everything, and can add soundbars or in-wall cord concealment.
Where do you service?
Tri-Cities Tennessee and Southwest Virginia: Blountville, Bristol TN, Kingsport, Johnson City, Jonesborough, Elizabethton, Greeneville, Erwin, Bristol VA, Abingdon, and Norton VA. Same pricing across the entire service area.
Are you insured?
Yes. Furniture Assembly by Lee is registered and insured, with trained technicians and full liability coverage on every job.
How quickly can you come out?
Often same-day or next-day when our schedule allows. Same-day priority service is a $39 add-on when availability is tight. Otherwise we typically book a few days out.
What if my item is not on the list?
If it ships in a box, our technicians can almost certainly build it. Use the Get a Quote form, paste a link or attach a photo, and our team will price it fast — usually the same day.
Do you offer commercial / B2B service?
Yes — offices, retail spaces, apartment turns, and property management. Volume-quoted with flexible scheduling. Use the Get a Quote form and tell us about the scope.
